Design Portfolio
Insight Magazine, based in the Brazos Valley area, had a promotional piece that was used to sell ad space to establishments. The original design was busy and did not look appealing. I was part of the team that redesigned this piece to fit the magazine’s branding.
The hardest part of this project was to pick out the unnecessary information from the original version. We coordinated on what we wanted to keep and built this design. I worked with Integ graphic designers and Insite staff on this project.
Black and white are the colors I chose to represent my brand. First, it represents the foundational colors of the craft I am building a career around. Black pen on white paper. I also like the industrial theme of art, as you can see in my home page, and the black and white color adds to that theme. CA are my initials and reversed it is Anderton Creative.
The best part of this logo are the subliminal messages. First as i mentioned before black and white are the beginnings of writing in color, but the reverse type style I chose represents a nod to the past and a look toward innovation.
The second subliminal message is the structure of the logo. I started my career in print advertising. I feel I can work in any medium in any capacity and I wanted my logo to show that. The logo is square and edgy inside a box except for the tale of the A. I always look to innovate and think outside the box.
Built this poster for an event that the Baylor Journalism Department hosts every week. I used Illustrator to build the coffee cup and then built the rest in InDesign.
This graphic I built for the Baylor Journalism Department. The department had a prospective student meeting coming up and needed a flyer to hand out that shows students abilities and statistics about the department. I build the graphics in Illustrator and built the flyer in InDesign.
This was a class assignment where I outlined a picture of Pat Neff Hall. I did this in Illustrator with a mouse.
The Baylor Journalism Department wanted to advertise to teachers that the department has a budget for bringing in guest lecturers. I built the globe and podium in Illustrator and the rest in InDesign.
The Urban Garden was a project in school. It was a fictitious lifestyle center, much like The Domain in Austin. I created the logo and the art for this project along with assisting in the strategy.
